Colorado Time Systems is proud to bring you the Championship Elite Start System; designed for precision and inclusivity.
What makes the New Colorado Time Systems Championship Elite Start System stand out from the other swimming start systems?
We're glad you asked! Some of the many new features include an illuminated LCD screen, multiple start tones, programable start messages, training mode, integrated Visual Start Signal (VSS), and ultra-bright adjustable LED strobes. The Championship Elite Swim Start System can easily be installed at existing aquatic facilities and can be implemented into new pool construction design plans.
The Visual Start Signal (VSS) enhances the swimming start experience for all athletes, with a special focus on athletes who are deaf or hard of hearing. By utilizing multi-color LED visual indicators, the VSS clearly signals each segment of the swimming start sequence, ensuring inclusivity and accuracy.
When 1/100th of a second matters, having an equal opportunity to start your competitive swimming race is crucial.
Our External Visual Indicators with the Championship Elite Start System's Visual Start Sequence ensure that athletes who are deaf or hard of hearing never miss a swimming start.
One of the standout features of the Championship Elite Start System is its Training Mode, offering swimmers the opportunity to adapt to electronic starting, resulting in enhanced reflexes. Once the training mode is activated through the menu selection, the starter will initiate a countdown, accompanied by a recorded “Take your marks” message. Soon after, a start tone and strobe flash will be triggered. This time span, ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds, has been deliberately set to prevent athletes from pacing themselves based on the “take your marks” signal. Instead, it encourages them to always start in response to the start tone and strobe.
With a weight of less than 20 lbs, the Championship Elite Start System can operate from a tabletop or either a tripod or flagpole mount. Powered by two 12V PowerSonic batteries, the Elite has a run time of over 15 hours when properly charged, ensuring uninterrupted performance.
Additionally, the versatile design of the Championship Elite Start System makes it an ideal choice for both an electronic swimming start system and a limited public address system, allowing announcements to be made to both athletes and spectators alike.
Key Features of the championship Elite Start System include:
- Bright external 360° strobe: Flashes with start signal tone. Additional strobe lights (EVIs) for other locations are available.
- External visual indicators (EVIs): EVIs function as either a strobe or a lane indicator and feature variable intensity settings for indoor or outdoor use. EVIs level the playing field by giving all athletes a visual cue to the swimming start.
- Visual start signaling (VSS): Provides a clear visual start sequence for all athletes behind the block, on the block, and signal “Take Your Marks.” It uses the multi-color LEDs of the EVIs and was designed for athletes who are deaf or hard of hearing but is useful to all athletes.
- Training mode: Automated “take your marks” message and start signaling with a variable interval between starts.
- Alternate start tones and custom “take your marks” messages.
