Service Technician

The Service Technician performs installation and repair of company products. Responsible for resolving installation and repair issues, providing technical assistance, and designing and implementing installation solutions unique to the customer's site. Trains customers in the use of equipment; schedules and makes service calls. Applies technical knowledge and skill to modify, adapt, and create solutions to unusual installation and repair situations. Exercises independent judgment in determining appropriate installation strategies and solutions.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs pre-installation surveys; then works with local contractors and company engineering and sales departments to address, and resolve, installation issues. Frequently must develop solutions unique to each situation.
  • Performs installation of company products, working with customers and contractors to resolve installation issues or difficulties. Provides customer training for the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs maintenance and repair of company equipment at customer sites. Schedules service visits and prepares detailed reports concerning installation and service activity.
  • Provides technical assistance and input to sales and engineering departments, working with them to make improvements and develop new products. Responsible for keeping records of service and installation activities to help identify service issues and product development needs.
  • Maintains high level of customer satisfaction and service, providing advice, input, and recommendations for customer’s current and future product needs. Sells accessory/upgrade equipment; assists customers with swim meets and other athletic events; performs maintenance on equipment.
  • Serves as the client’s front-line service contact, providing product support and technical expertise to customers. Promotes and encourages excellent business relationships, acting as a good-will ambassador for the company.
  • Responsible for the preparation of detailed trip and expense reports following installation/service calls; also responsible for maintaining inventory of repair parts to be kept in company provided vehicle, and for time on-the-job accountability reports as required.
  • Must be available for work on weekends and holidays, which is frequently required due to the scheduling of customers’ needs and athletic events.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Education and/or Experience

Two-year, technical degree or equivalent experience as an advanced electrical technician. Two-plus years’ experience working in electronic repair and installation. Must have ability to analyze electrical and mechanical installation issues and difficulties, and the ability to develop solutions to successfully achieve installation and repairs.

Must be able to apply principles of electronics, construction, and mechanical operations to a wide range of situations and circumstances. Must be able to develop solutions that are safe, mechanically sound, and practical for the customer’s needs. Requires education and technical skill that enables unique installations in situations that are often one-of-a-kind. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans is desirable.

Computer Skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access

Software Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop software requirements by gathering research, conferring with sales, marketing, and users, and investigating data needs and process workflow
  • Architect and implement both customer-facing and internal software products
  • Maintain and update existing products as needed (includes WinForms, WPF, and ASP.NET)
  • Provide primary support to internal users and secondary support to external customers
  • Regularly participate in and lead internal and external training sessions
  • Maintain various internal application lifecycle tools
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field (or equivalent). Two years of professional work experience.

Must be able to apply principles of electronics, construction, and mechanical operations to a wide range of situations and circumstances.

Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Working knowledge of current .NET tools (C#, ASP.NET, EF Core)
  • Working knowledge of version control using Git
  • Preferred: developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on Azure
