Visual Start Signaling (VSS)

The VSS system is integrated in the Championship Elite Start System and External Visual Indicators.  It provides a clear visual start sequence for all athletes by utilizing multi-color LEDs to signal the different segments of the start sequence and using a simple and intuitive pendant.

Key Features:

• Provides a visual start sequence for a race, including stand ups.
• Easy control by a referee and starter.
• Works in conjunction with traditional hand signals and whistles.
• Automatically resets after the starter official starts the race.

• Call to block:  EVIs blink red 
• Step up/Swimmers to enter water:  EVIs are steady red
• Backstroke swimmers enter water:  EVIs are off
• Backstroke start position:  EVIs are steady red
• Take your marks:  EVIs are yellow
• Start:  EVIs flash green
