External Visual Indicator (EVI)

External Visual Indicators, EVIs, are multicolored 360° strobe lights that can function as either a strobe or a lane indicator when placed on or beside the starting platform and integrated into the Championship Elite Start System. 

The Championship Elite Start System can utilize the EVIs to generate a Visual Start Sequence (VSS) calling athletes to the block, step up, take their mark, and go, providing all athletes with an equal opportunity, especially those who are deaf of hard of hearing.

We are proud to announce that as the Official Timing and Scoring Partner of United States Deaf Swimming, Inc., Colorado Time Systems will support the USADS with the use of the new Championship Elite Start System. Features:

• Provides a visual start for a race.

• Operates as a traditional strobe or pair with the Elite Start System to enable VSS.

• Variable intensity settings for indoor and outdoor visibility and lane line functionality.

• VSS functionality utilizes the multi-color LEDs to signal athletes behind the block, on the block, and signal “Take Your Marks.”

• Designed for athletes who are deaf or hard or hearing.
