Symptom: Pushbutton doesn’t register on timer:

  • Are there any frayed wires?
  • Is the pushbutton shorted?
  • Has the pushbutton been damaged?
  • What is the condition of the banana connector?
  • What is the condition of the plunger?
  • What is the condition of the cables?
  • Is the problem the pushbutton, the indeck system, or cable harnesses?



  • After each use, use a soft cloth to wipe off any excess dielectric grease from the connectors.
  • Inspect each connector.
  • If it needs cleaning, use isopropyl alcohol and a clean, soft cloth to clean it.
  • Repeat for each pushbutton.
  • Perform maintenance regularly, i.e. twice a season.
